Hello SSS, 

I just finished loading my first ten 56-50 rounds at my brand new (I built) loading table using my Lee Classic Turret in single stage mode.  When I finished loading, I very carefully measured the OAL on my ten cartridges.  The OAL measurements were as follows:

1.  1.5735        6.  1.5735
2.  1.5780        7.  1.5725
3.  1.5745        8.  1.5745
4.  1.5770        9.  1.5745
5.  1.5770       10.  1.5760

I loaded 30 grains (by weight) of 777.  The bullets were a gift to me from Tuolumne Lawman and were cast from the Lee modified mould by Dakota Widowmaker. 

I have not fired any of my cartridges yet.  I am waiting on my wife to give me the Ok as she waits to hear from our insurance company;  She took out a new life insurance policy on me, just in case

NEED ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS.

Do my OAL measurements seem normal?  Are they within an acceptable range for my repro 56-50 Spencer carbine.  Am I in the "ballpark"?  Remember this is my first attempt at loading.  I still have a lot to learn.

My loading area is located upstairs in my garage.  Just finished building the tables and shelving.

I can't comment on your OALs but your loading set up looks good.  I'm still using my "temporary" setup that I put together about 10 years ago....one of these days.........

Two Flints,  Though I'm no expert on reloading, the OALs you list have worked just fine in my Taylor 56-50.  Nice loading area!   GG
