Hello to the campfire. Did any of you cowboys and cowgirls read this new book by authors Mike Cumpston & Johnny Bates? Can you recommend it for a student with special interest in the "replica history" end of the subject?

Since there are a couple of books that deal with the replicas - either devoted to, or with specific chapters - give the full title and ISBN number, if you would.

You may also wish to ask this in another forum, since this one seems a bit more dedicated towards the 'entertainment' value of books, than the 'research' aspect.

Thanks.

This was to be an expanded and re-written followup to the book "Percussion Pistols and Revolvers, History, Performance and Practical Use." That book is still in print.

Unfortunately, The book titled " Percussion Revolvers etc, does not actually exist.  The notice on Amazon.com must have been a pre-printing release as I cancelled the contract before it went to final printing.    In spite of investing considerable money toward making it worthy of publication, my inadequacies as a proof reader and the lack of competence on the part of the line editors and proof readers at iUniverse Inc. left some prominent errors in the final MS.

So, I euthanized it with extreme prejudice.

Thank you Mec. I'll save my money.
