Back in the Dark Ages, when all us old cops carried nuthin' but revolvers. We were taught to have our two middle fingers stuck through the open frame with the cylinder up, to load the rounds with our right hand.

Single action er double I know the drill(s). Done both on the clock. Holdin' a revolver still with yer left while yer right makes the motions just don't seem ta make me think of a 'left-handed' tool.

I thought I had hit the big time when Bianchi came out with the Speed Strips for the dump pouches. The 12 loop or the dump pouches were it back then.

Started with dumps. When the speed stuff came out used HKS on the street 'n Dades in games. The left handers used SKH.......

Need ta check my Glock stuff 'n make sher it's right handed....

You really need to have held one of those old Texas Longhorn Arms SAs to realize that for right handers the regular one is just a bit off for right handers.  Course they were expensive and the company went bust.  The things ain't near a off as a right handed bolt action in a lefties hand, but still they have the mark of a lefty. ;)

Whatever....

Back when I was good, there was a fifteen round pistol stage. Sweep five targets with one pistol grab the second 'n sweep the targets again. Do a full cylinder reload then sweep 'em a third time. It was inna shoot that meant sumthin' to me. Shot it clean in ah l'il o'er twenty seconds with a pair of '73 Colt clones. Was bein' careful 'cuz a miss onna stage like that'd kill yer score. Weren't a world record but out a hunnert 'n some odd shooters the folks that did it faster could be counted on one hand. Sure felt like them things were made fer a right hander.

Thinkin' ya might wanna let this'n go. There's a difference 'tween them that do 'n them that talk 'bout it.

Been shooting SA's since 1977, till the CAS shooting came out I never seen anyone try to load one held in the right hand.  Course no one was trying to beat a clock.  Don't matter, tis the way they were built and the only one who ever tried to change it went broke. ;)

Ain't telling you how to best use them for fast shooting, but I do know a bit about ergonomics and they are slightly better for a left handed person than a right handed one.  And never said they don't work pretty well for a right handed one. ;)

It just feels more comfortable for me to load right-handed.

After readin all this I figgered why I do it the way I do.  My cartrige loops are on the left side of the belt.  It's easier fer me ta pop em with ma left hand an keep the gun in ma right.  It's one a them ta each his own deals.

Back ta the music.  I've always liked this one.

First thing I remember was asking papa why
For there were many things I didn't know.
And daddy always smiled and took me by the hand
Saying someday you'll understand.
(chorus:)
Well I'm here to tell you now each and every mother's son
That you better learn it fast you better learn it young
'Cause someday never comes.
Well time and tears went by and I collected dust.
For there were many things I didn't know.
When daddy went away, he said, try to be a man,
And someday you'll understand.
Well, I'm here...
And then one day in April, I wasn't even there,
For there were many things I didn't know.
A son was born to me. Mama held his hand,
sayin' someday you'll understand.
Well, I'm here...
Think it was September, the year I went away,
For there were many things I didn't know.
And still I see him standing tryin' to be a man,
I said, someday you'll understand.
Well, I'm here to tell you now, each and every mother's son,
That you better learn it fast, you better learn it young,
'Cause someday never comes
