Leo,  I envy  you guys that play. I never got around to learning and besides I'm left-handed.

If ya don't wanna invest in a lefty guitar, you can just buy a cheapo an string it upside down.  If it's an accoustic an doesn't have a cut out the only difference will be the lack of a pick gaurd under the strings.  If you want to finger pick that won't mean a thing.  There are a coulple of other small things I'd reverse like the bidge and the top nut, but it's easy.  You could be on yer way fer $100 bucks er less.
I say go for it!  I'd be happy to answer any questions if you are really thinking about it.

Never liked Paul much outta the group.  Good voice an music but somethin about him never appealed ta me.  Ta each his own.  More of a George fan maself.

here's another great John Mayer song that I think you guys will like:

it's called "In Repair"
Too many shadows in my room
Too many hours in this midnight
Too many corners in my mind
So much to do to set my heart right
Oh it's taking so long i could be wrong, i could be ready
Oh but if i take my heart's advice
I should assume it's still unsteady
I am in repair, i am in repair

Stood on the corner for a while
To wait for the wind to blow down on me
Hoping it takes with it my old ways
And brings some brand new luck upon me
Oh it's taking so long i could be wrong, i could be ready
Oh but if i take my heart's advice
I should assume it's still unsteady
I am in repair, i am in repair

And now i'm walking in the park
All of the birds they dance below me
Maybe when things turn green again
It will be good to say you know me

Oh it's taking so long i could be wrong, i could be ready
Oh but if i take my heart's advice
I should assume it's still unsteady
Oh i'm never really ready, yeah, oh, i'm never really ready
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there
I'm in repair, i'm not together but i'm getting there

These band members are getting older just like I am.  Most of the Bands from ny Era are in their late 50s to their late 60s and folks get old and die. It's just the cycle of Life.  It's fortunate that this talent has been preserved in their music and videos.

I don't know that there will ever be bands and groups like back in the 50's and 60's,  everybody had a record player and 45's were spinning everywhere you went, so many groups comin and goin,  sock hops, bands on tours, when you were in the car it was playin on the AM stations, that's all we had to listen to back then, you knew every song comin on, sang along with all of em, saw the groups on American Bandstand,   it sure was a different time and place than any other time.
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

Yep, AM radio was it.   I listened to KOMA out of OKC on the weekends at night. It was 50,000 clear channel watts back then. We received it good and strong in the Panhandle of Texas and Oklahoma. Bandstand came on in the afternoon after school and I watched it while I did my homework.

TLD, we channel surfed radio, and listened to KOMA some nights, some night WLS out of Chicago, sometimes KAAY Little Rock, most often KAAY late because they had Becker Street with Clyde Clifford, first learned about David Allan Coe, Allhman (sp) Brothers, Black Oak Arkansa and others of the like includin' John Prine and Harry Chapin on tat show.
