They got a full size cardboard cut out of George Straight down in the other part of the store, ladies always want to buy it.  Advertise some sort of his line a clothing.  He's not bad but I just can't get that excited about him, I get 10-12 hours of the so called country station a week that I can't shut off, anything he does I'm tired of it cause they play it to death.

LR, I enjoyed the Booger Red song, I of my favorites of his. I like his album that did in the early 70s honoring rodeo cowboys.  The two funny songs of his that I like the best are "Copenhagen",  and the one about the only thing his wife left him was a pair of jeans, a pair of Justin boots, and a grass rope.

Booger Red is the Poet Laureate of Texas, designated by the Texas Legislature.  He hosts a Western Swing Festival, Cowboy Poetry, and Chuckwagon Cookoff in the Stockyards in Fort Worth in October each year. I never miss it.

George was a purty fair picker in his own right. I am a big fair of guitar solos or leads.  Got hooked on guitar music listening to Dwayne Eddy, Dick Dale, The Ventures, Safaris, and Chantays in the early 60s.

Ya fergot Les Paul.  He sure could play.
Don't forget his lovely bride too - Mary Ford - although she wasn't a guitar player.
