This classic is a heart warmin’ storey of a l’il girl waitin’ for Santa. She sings her tale in this sweet l’il song. One of my all time favorites. Keep the box of tissue close by………..

THE CHIMNEY SONG

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all night long.
Well, I waited up for Santa all Christmas night
But he never came and it don't seem right.
And there's something in the chimney
And it doesn't make a sound,
But I wish you Merry Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all week long.
Well, the dog keeps barking up the chimney flue
And we don't know what we're going to do.
Cause there's something in the chimney
And it doesn't move around,
And it's been a week since Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all month long.
Well, it's jammed up tight above the fireplace
Now the house smells funny, such a big disgrace.
That there's something in the chimney
And it doesn't talk at all,
And it's been there since last Christmas.

There's something stuck up in the chimney
And I don't know what it is,
But it's been there all year long.
I'll been waiting up for Santa like I did last year
But my brother says, "He's already here."
And he's stuck up in the chimney
And he doesn't say a word
And he'll be there every Christmas.
And we'll have him every Christmas.

That sounds like the episode of NCIS where the inspector falls down the chimney at the Naval Base and "smoked".  A working crew discovers him when they tear out the old chimney.

Del

Very cool and interesting link...Will have to look into some of his stuff.

Me and Old Top were driving to a match today, and I was playing Peter Paul and Mary in Concert. He said he hadn't heard it in 20 years, but we still knew all the songs, and of course.....Paul Talk

"There they are,....Don't look at 'em"

"We have been drivin around for 7 hours"

"He never races anybody, he just scares the hell out of them"

and of course there is the sweet voice of Mary....We listened to it twice....I only wish I had brought along disk 2.

Merry Christmas you all and I hope you get what you want, and want what you get.....

The Moose and I decided not get each other a bunch of gifts this year. I think we're goin' to Sam's and get a new flat screen TV and one of those Bose 123 systems for it. It's only supposed to be 32 today, a good day to get into the Christmas spirit with the cold weather.

That's much better than sayin "I hope ya get what ya deserve an deserve what ya get" ;D
Merry Christmas ta ya all as well :)

Here's a song of inspiration an hope I learned in the 5th grade ...

Randolph the bow legged cowboy
had a very shiney gun
and if you ever saw it
you would turn around and run!

All of the other Cowboys
used to laugh and call him names
they never let poor Randolph
join in any poker games.

Then one foggy Saturday night
the sheriff came to say
Randolph with your gun so bright
won't you shoot my wife tonight?

Then how the cowboys loved him
as they shouted out with glee
Randolph the bow legged cowboy
you'll go down in his-tor-y.....

when I was bailbonding,  I had one Judge that I could call at home and get a bail set anytime day or night.   we'll just call him and see what he says.

TLD,  you know we used to have a lot people that would run off down to the Dallas area,  I knew one fella there in Dallas that just kept up with the people going to jail and where their home town was,  made 2 or 3 calls a day to see if it might be a bond jumper, if he was, he'd call the bondsman and for a fee tell him where the skip could be found.  somtimes they'd show up on NCIC, sometimes it had been entered yet.  he always made a few bucks extra every month for his trouble.   ;D
