DIck Dale was proclaimed as "The King of Surf Guitar", along with his combo, The Daletones.

     Sa far as I know there are only two Dick Dale songs with words in em.  One of them is "King of the Surf Guitar" sung by a bunch a wimmin an the other one is the only song I know of Dick singing himself.  Him and his Deltones were the best,

I think I mentioned this before, But I used to go down to Solana Beach and listen to Dick Dale and the Deltones every time they played at the Belly Up!

Now it’s the Comstock Cowboys in Virginia City I go to see.  Took the MIL up yesterday , and got her to have her picture taken with David (The Leader of the band) taken.  Still get to dress up and carry even though we’re half way between shoots.

     I miss Johnny, he was the king of cool.  Everytime Lil hears "I Walk the Line" she looks at me an smiles, an I swear there's a little tear in her eye.  Mine too.

The ole boy Del listens ta late it nights been runnin’ a lot of Cash for bumper music. He’ll let almost the whole song play out. Cuts down on the minutes he has ta be talkin’ o’er the length of the talk show.

Likes ‘Some Velvet Mornin’’. I hear it start I pick up the remote ‘n shut it off for a couple minutes. Don’t see how anyone sober can claim they actually like that.
