Hows it coming folks.  Hey, and when you write these things, don't get too crazy with the round count.  You may think 40 rounds a stage sounds like fun, but if all 10 end up that way . . .  Don't be making the Cap-n-ball folks play Joesy Wales each stage either.

I'd hope for a round count around 250 total rifle and pistol for all stages.

For my four stages:

21+ Rifle(revised count 7/12)
16 Pistol
1 6lbr. shell w/fuse (I will supply these for all) ;)

Let me mention that one of my stages calls for just six pistol rounds, plus the 6lbr. shell, so everyone will need a sidearm for that stage regardless of which category you're shooting in.
In addition, all rifle rounds are loaded one round at a time, so all will become, in effect, single shot rifles.

There will be no yodeling in the ranks!

Although the difference between yodeling and a decent Rebel yell wouldn't be worth noting. ;D

250 is always a good number for an ammo count. Bring your shotguns and ammo, extra pistol ammo and rifle ammo for side matches.
Do you all want the boat again? If so let me know. For those of us watching from shore, it was really neat. Especially the blackpowder.
Plan on 10 stages.
What about long range? (side match)

OH MY GOD!! There's a boat that can be used? That we can shoot from?!?

Please say 'YES', give me all the particulars and I'll write up a fourth stage to contribute! ;D

Yeppur, there's a boat.  Shot my Spencer off it last year.  Found out that Crisco/beeswax Lube on the base of a 56/50 bullet makes a dandy tracer at night.

RCJ,
Last year we used the houseboat and Steve had the trolling motor rigged and you ad to shoot from it as it moved west adn then east on the pond.
Everyone had a hoot even those of us watching from Widow Barlow's.
Write another stage RCJ.

Say ... how is the final round count coming along?

I need to know how many rifle rounds are required, especially if I go with the choice I'm leaning toward (.577 Snider-Enfield) because the number of "shell casings" I have for this "cannon" is somewhat limited.   ;)

I wrote up a fourth stage utilizing the boat. Sent copies to Bristow Kid and Dusty Tagalong.

Upped my rifle round count by 8+(shooter may have to plan on loading more if targets missed.)

RCJ

(As an aside, I do not plan to write any more stages for this year's Muster. We have over 400 members, and even if you are not able to attend, please consider contributing your talent in the form of a stage scenario. ;D And sooner rather than later. ;))

Any progress yet on the final round count?

As mentioned, the total number of rifle rounds may impact on my choice of rifle, and as a lazy sod, I'd prefer not to expend a bunch of time on "CAS-spec" load development for the wrong rifle!    ;)
