Are you .36 shooters getting good knockdown?

Just wondering how y'all are getting by with your .36 C&Bs in CAS. Do you have to go the conical often, or is the RB load up to snuff? Which conicals shoot best in your Colts? Thanks for any comments,
Bill

Thinkin' it depends on the target.

A load I use in cartridges, no I won't mention 'em, aggravates sum folks that they werk, is the same load I use in my Remington 'n Navy, both .36s.  Don't have any problems takin' down the plate rack targets one club I shoot with uses.  Can't remember any I hit that didn't fall.  Course, they stood still when I missed.

Can't speak to heavier targets. N'er had to.

Sixteen grains of 2f 'n a round ball.  Ain't recommendin' it to anyone, that's just what it is.

If there's any kind of KD I will go to the 130gr LEE home cast conical over 15grs fffg. Even with the 44 and 20 grs FFFg and a 143gr ball I had problems with a Texas star. Next time it'll be 25 or 30 grs and the 44 or conical 36.

Fellas. I 'preciate it. Sounds like I wouldn't be overly handicapped with a brace of Navies.

P.S. I have heard Pietta .36s have .375 barrels, but am not sure about Uberti. Do they run .375 or .380?

I have a Pietta '58 Remington Navy that uses .375 balls and a Navy Arms (Uberti made) '58 Remington that requires .380 balls.  Bores slug out a tad smaller than the ball diameter but I just don't happen to remember off hand just what they are.

I'll have to check and get back at ya with that info.
