Howdy! I don't know anything about the Henry but I know there were three 60' Army conversions made for the movie. One was in like new condition and the other 2 were in various stages of used condition for the movie. One can be seen in the western heritage musuem in OK city and I believe Tom S. has one and Kenny Howell (the Gunsmith that built them) has the other. WBR

Thanks for posting these pictures.  Everytime I watch that movie I get goose bumps the first time the conversion makes an appearance.
There are so many fine firearms in that movie.  All you Spencer fans need to see the movie if you havent already.  Safe shooting.

The NRA also had them on display at the last Dulles gun show I attended, they were much nicer and seemed bigger in person ;D  Seriously it's a nice collection of firearms.

These 8 firearms in the NRA's National Firearms Museum are ones that Mr. Selleck donated last year - basically all his movie guns.

The Last Stand at Saber River Colt is the "like new" condition gun that Mr. Selleck retained for potential use in the planned sequel - there was to be a flashback scene of him firing it with the gun in the condition as it was given.

The museum also took them on the road to the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association shindig in Friendship, IN this month.  May be a couple of other trips down the road.

How do I know all this? - well - I'm the guy that put them in the museum exhibit... :D

When were they put on display?  I visited the museum in March and didn't see them. :( :( :(  Please tell me I didn't overlook them.  :o :o

Well, even if I did, I still enjoyed my visit.  Great museum!

Trinity - you must have missed them. We've had them out on exhibit since the beginning of 2007. They are on the "main avenue" of the galleries, but if you detoured back to get to the gift shop faster, you could have bypassed this exhibit.

FYI - more pics are on the website at ww.nrahq.org/museum.

The next America's First Freedom magazine will feature the Selleck Schofield, too!

I would so dearly love to get my Henry engraved... But, at $800 for the design I want, I just can't part with the $$$.

Hey y'all,
I always wondered if Tom Selleck liked gus and kept ones used in movies.  I rekcon I know now. But even though he donated those to the museum I bet he still has a couple that he likes, or at least some good Ubertis or something.

Dakota Widowmaker,

If you want an engraved Henry bad enough, i believe Taylor now carries one. I'd like to have one myself.

Tom recently sold some of his personal guns including some used in films (saber River)...I went to the "preview" and got a close-up (including handling) of several of them. Kenny Howell brought a number of movie guns and some of the duplicates to the NCOWS convention several years ago & I was fortunate to handle them as well as chat with the Ken.

I noticed when watching Cross Fire Trail, Tom was using a 1876 Winchester "Mountie" model.

I noticed that in "Cross Fire Trail" too.  Seems to me he asks about that in an early scene in the movie.

The 1876 & Evans were two of ken Howells personal firearms that he loaned for use in the movie.....had both at the convention I believe  ;D
