  Pards, ya`ll got a really P@#% off PUK here!!!

  Bin waitin ALL MONTH ta shoot cowboy and Ned phoned on Saturday nite sayin the the Match wuz a `No Go` 

The range is flooded (Again  ), Where we shoot is a dug out pit that iffn thars a really bad couple of days rain it jest wont dry out!! All the other ranges on the complex are OK But the CAS range jest looks like a lake!! What Really is gettin to me is that the committee gave the `Go Ahead` in February ta get drainage put in ta rectify the the prob, BUT it STILL aint been done yet!!

Pards.....jest leaves me Annie `O` n Ned fed up ta the back teeth

Yeah the old PC brigade The bunch that make those STOOOOOOOOOPID Rules say we cant shoot over a puddle!!  All ta do with ..Ricochettes!! wouldn't  ya know!!

How in tarnation are ya going to a ricochet of a puddle!!!! the target is at least 1ft off the ground!!! in the almost impossible situation that a pard did slip `n `left one go` I`m sure that the round would travel through the 2ins of water and embed itself in the sand!!, or iffn a pard had a reeel gamer load say `bout 5grains of the holy black behind a 180grain ball would/could there be a very slight  iddy biddy chance that he might ...jest might get hisownself a skimmer!!

How 'bout them clubs what have a strict rule 'bout tossin' anything o'er the berm?  Even a load ah shot.  They'll match DQ ya.  Then, the stage writer uses the bird launcher ta throw one 'n they tell ya to shoot at it..................

Well, we're finally gettin' some needed moisture.  The new gutter and downspout rig I built on the north end of the pole shed just may fill up 'em ol whiskey barrels again.  The bride likes rain water to water her garden.

I was serious about that Mississippi Boat Ride match.  Cuts Crooked could jump in here and explain just how they shoot over water in his neck of the woods.

PUK, howdy!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger: we have a law here that prohibits shooting over ANY body of water, and that can be enforced to include puddles.

However, believe it or don't, depending on the angle that the bullet hits the water, that 2" puddle could EASILY cause a bullet to skip.  I personally have shot .50 cal. Browning machine gun rounds into a puddle that was about 3 - 4 ft. in diameter and no more than 3 - 4" deep and skipped those monster rounds!    Don't ask me how/why/when it was done: Ft. Knox Army Range Control would probably STILL come up here and put me in the calaboose, if they ever found out!  )
