O.K.  It did come up as the Avatar, but how do I go about shrinking it down. Would like to post it as a larger picture.

Very nice tintype - really looks good.

Can't help you all that much with Bill Gates infernal machine, but I have printshop which I use to reduce the size of my images for posting. If you have that or photoshop just go to file, then export, then JPEG optimizer. Most things under 70 KB post quickly.

Howdy James,

Thank you for the compliment and thank you for the help on the posting issue, still not as large as I would like, but much better.
The tintype was taken at Preston Plantation by Bob Hartsaw, he is new to the art of Tintype, but getting better every day.
I put him in touch with French Jack in the hopes he might attend the National Shoot at Hooten Old Town, have yet to hear the outcome of that.

If you want to post them bigger open an account with Photo Bucket or one of the other hosting sites.

Delmonico,

I have one and for some strange reason did not even think of that solution. So here it is:

Now next time copy the bottom link of the three and paste it into the post.    ;)  It will direct link everyone to the picture.

Hope that helps, I'm still learnin' this stuff too. ;D

Bob Hartsaw contacted me and said that he would like to set up at the National Shoot.  I told him that he was entirely welcome to do so, that I was sure that many would patronize him.  He indicated he would be there at the least for Friday and Saturday.  Still waiting for final confirmation.  Thanks, John, for being the go-between on this.
P.S. -- Looks just like you.

Bob: I can guarantee him two customers from Michigan, that would be great if he could be there.

Captain John: now that your tintype is see-able, don't leave without telling us the story on that Spencer rifle. That really is a fine image!

Pards,

 Delmonico,
 Excellent!  Thanks very much.

 FJack,
I will contact Bob to see if this is a go. Hope so, I think it would be worth his while.

 JHunt,
Thank you once again for the compliment. The rifle is one of the Armi Sport-Taylors imports and I JUST LOVE IT. FJack has seen it & loaded some rounds for it; I will be bringing it to the Nationals. You are more then welcome to give it a go if you so desire.

Capt. John.
