Hey all.  I have a Pietta smoker and want to add a conversion cylinder to open my options.  Can anyone suggest a holster other than the plain Jane Oklahoma Leather holsters?  I do like the OK Leather holsters and have several of them but wanting another choice or two.
Thanks.

How much are you willing to spend on a holster?

River Junction has some nice ones, but for anything "fancy" you're either gonna have to decorate your own, or pay extra.  ;D I'm not the flashy type myself, so I'm probably just going to go with plain jane when I get my rig.

I just bought a holster and belt on ebay for 10 bucks.  My 58 Remmy fits it like a glove.  THe holster is about an inch and a half longer than need be... but... You can't have everything.  (where would you put it, right?)

I was a little nervous...cause it was ten bucks, you know....

After seeing it, I'd have easily paid around 100.  I checked for you, but the seller only had the one, and doesn't normally carry cowboy leather.

Depends on how much you want to spend, really.

Cabela's carries some, but they may or may not be what you're looking for.

This is interesting that You cme up with this question now as I will be making my own for my ASP 1858.I don't particulary, did I spell that right, like the holsters that are available commercially for the 1858.Or for that matter for most of the C&B revolvers. Also I don't care to spend a good days wages on something I can do myself .I will try to get pictures up of the ones I have made for my .31 remmie and .32mag ruger. If'n you can wait for me to build the one for the 1858.I will post pictures of it also on the leather site.Maybe I can start building gun rigs and other gear and not spend so much time in the truck.HA HA

I just got my rig in the mail today from Liberty Leather and he did great work. I'm shooting the Taylors 58s in 7 1/2 inches that are the new gated conversion. The holsters fit great right out of the box and they stay open so the guns slide back in easily. I got the Pecos model with the 2" extensions and the forward cant.

That's a right nice rig, there Ben.  What did you have to give for the whole shebang?

I got two strongside holsters, a really comfortable 3 inch money belt and an ammo belt with double shotgun loops for my SxS for $390 including shipping. The price varies depending upon whether you want conchos, how many belt loops, how much tooling, etc. He does top notch work and I'll buy from him again. I got his name wrong in my first post. He is Grouchy Old Bear. I don't think want to make a Grouchy Bear Grumpy. :D

I'll second what Ben said about Liberty Leather.

I'm having one made by a local cobbler.  It's a simple double loop with a slight drop.  No tooling but I might add some later.  I should have it by the end of the week.  I'lll try to post a picture then.
just find the look you want and have one made or make one yourself.
