Halfway Creek Charlie

I just received Roger Phillip's book "Remington Large Bore Conversion Revolvers"

I can't put it down.
There is a wealth of knowledge in this book. Roger expands greatly upon Bruce McDowell's research of the Remy's in his book.

I highly reccomend it for those that collect, have or want an original Remy Conversion.

It is well worth the $55.00 US that it costs.

You can find it on the Remington Society's website. Search the title or the name and it'll come up.
Better hurry, there were 250 books published...mine is number 160.

Roger will sign it for you too.

Good Read Roger!

Yeah.  What Charlie said.  ;D  Have not read mine in-depth yet, but just thumbing through it is a treat.

I took all the info he has in the rear of the book as to locations of markings from Tubac's 46 Rimfire Conversion, wrote them down in the exact way Roger shows them(how'd I know that? I didn't!)and I have my info, I'll send it to him after my second conversion gets here and I gather that info.  My Ainsworth inspected 46RF is a one of a kind conversion and I have not checked to see if there are conversion numbers or such on that one. I don't think that there are any conversion numbers on it.

OK Barbarosa, is yours a First, Second, or Third model?

Yep it's got that little divit out of the frame above the face of the cylinder and the ramps in the bolt notches.
I have never handled one with the Divit's and the ramps. Nice gun.

That is a nice gun. I particularly find the ramps interesting. Thanks for posting the photo.
