Howdy!

Does anyone have a set of the plastic grips for the 1875s that are gathering dust on yer spare parts shelf?  I'm tryin' to find a decent "gently used" set.

Mucho grassy-ace.

If'n ya can't find any used ones, ya might try http://stores.ebay.com/TOMBSTONE-GUN-GRIPS.  I got a pair of '58 grips from them that are real good for the $$$sss....  Good shootin', . . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Steel Horse,
Are you looking for the Black Remington Arms grips like on an 1890?

Yep.  I realize they ain't authentic on the 1875s, but my smaller hands like the grips slimmer.  If I can find some nice ones that are thinner than mine AND look like Stag or Elk, that would be perfect.  But for now, the black plastic 1890 grips will do fine.  And probably more in my price range.

Wolfgang, thanks for the link!

Steel Horse,
If they are anything like the ones I got from Dixie, they will not fit until you sand them down A LOT.  They look OK from a distance but not too good up close.  The only way I could fit them to the bottom of the grip frame was to leave a little uneven gap at the top.  The top "plug" had to be sanded too, but hey, for $30 buck, I guess I shouldn't have expected more.  I had a better fit by sanding that red finish off the ones they came with and finished'em off with an antique walnut stain.  They are much slimmer now and not as slick.
