Took the Remmy for a walk today...

THat's all.  Just that I shot about 60 balls and slew many cans and paper targets.

*snicker*

Used Remington caps.  Only had one not fire, and when I spun the cylinder back around and dropped the hammer on it again, it fired true.  I probably didn't have it seated the first time.  One of my nipples is peened a bit, and I always forget which one it is.  I suppose I COULD mark it... but where's the fun in that?

I shortened the barrel on a 12", recrowned it, affixed the sight back on.  Today was the maiden voyage.

I DID notice that I had alot of caps drop off the nipples after firing.  More than stayed on.  And the caps were shredded, split, flattened.

I'm going to switch to a different brand of cap and see if they do any better.

I'll keep you informed.

But......




The important thing here, today, is that I reek of BP and the frame of my little Remmy is so dirty it looked like it was color-case hardened not brass.
