I just picked up my pair of 58 Remmie gated conversions from Taylor's. They are so purty that I thought some of you might want to see some pinup photos. They aren't centerfold quality but close. :D

No, these are not with conversion cylinders. These are copies of actual conversions from the 1870s I believe. The loading gate is attached to the frame and you have to half cock the gun to get the cylinder indexed to load. They definitely require an FFL. There is a really good article about them in the April Cowboy Chronicle.

MAN, I want some of them in 44-40 baaaad.  I have a couple '75 Outlaws but I want some '58s too.......  You just had to put those pics up!

They are the gated conversions in 38 special. The barrel is 7 3/8. I'm having a set of holsters made for them and hope to have them in the next couple of weeks. Then the fun will really begin. Because the person that I am re-enacting was real, that would put this time period to be the early 1870s so they are perfect for what I want to do.
