I load grits. I load 'em up with salt and pepper and butter. Sometimes I put some cheese in 'em, too. But I usually load grits in the morning instead of at night.

Howdy Mason,
You are probably all loaded up and ready now. I do some experimenting with night loads and a lot of powder does the trick, but I found that 2F makes for more flash and sparks. I can't tell you why, just does. Maybe it has to do with spacing around each grain or ?. Anyways, I also found that using the EPP boolits sized .454 really cuts the heck out of recoil.
I shoot one handed always. Actually double duelist. My first night shoot I loaded heavy with full case of Swiss that I had and a PRS boolit. I drew my first pistol, which I always do with the left hand and lit off the first round and the recoil was so heavy, I caught the thing at the end of the grip frame and was holding on with just two fingers and grabbed the pistol with my off hand and saved what was near the worst disaster of my shooting career. I went on to shoot the rest of the match with two hands.
I learned a few things right there. I don't load with out testing any more, I don't use Swiss for pistols any more, I don't use heavy recoil/muzzle flip bullets any more for night shooting rounds.
So, if I had tried them out beforehand, I would not have been so surprised and actually would have loaded differently, like I do now.  ::)
