As in Thunder Valley Days?

Yep, it'll be the first time in about 4 years.  In the past I've been on the road about that time of year.

Went to my first CAS match (Thurmont) since the Grand Muster 2005 this last weekend, now that my shoulder has finally healed up enough to withstand the shotgun recoil.  I was mostly just interested in finishing the day without pain - and since I only had one miss all day I count the match a total success.

Gen it will be an honor to shoot with you at TVD!!

I am looking to hit a MD monthly in May to get a better idea about the drive.

I plan to accept quarters at parents farm during match but stay at hotel for the banquet.

I was a member of the Izaak Walton club that hosts that shoot and I've helped out a couple of times in the past, flipping burgers, cleaning up, etc.  Its a great shoot, you guys should have a great time!

Figure about 1 hour from where we had lunch.  Maybe a few minutes more.  Of course, that is based on Saturday mornings - it'll probably take a bit longer on a weekday with all the commuters trying to get to work.

MMMMMMM 5 guys Burgers.

General, that lunch sounds nice.

Maybe we need to partake in a GAF luncheon celeb ration again soon!!

I'll be carrying the flag at ROUND-UP next weekend but maybe sometime after that!

Tks for the info on drive - I am going in a "back way" since my parents are close to the border of Maryland on ole route 15 - so hopefully that will help on those weekdays

Sounds fine by me.  We just need to find a mutually satisfying date.

I won't be shooting but I plan on bring the family up Sat. to watch for a while. The "Sergeant Major" is letting me "play" but I am still working on getting her totally behind the CAS concept.

Sharps 54 my wife has slowly come around.  I think more then thinking what I do is fun, she has talked to other wife's with husbands who golf, fish and boat and has realized that my hobby does not cost that much compared to others.

So, she has slowly seen how much fun I have, and how great the people are and supports me mostly - well you know I just can not go out and spend all the money I would want to!!:) - But that is probably a good thing.

Look forward to shooting with you

Pony Racer,
Funny you mention the costs of our hobby. Mine is very aware that I am a "cheap date" compared to some. I think she will definately come around, especially since the boy is interested in CAS, this lets us do something as a family. I hope to meet everyone soon.

Frenchie

My record of being the guy who doesn't get the word is unbroken! When and where? I most likely won't be able to shoot, but that's no reason not to come.
Yours, &c.,
