birds is hand fed, fat and sassy.   they've been here 4 days today and we still have 98.5% of em,  yesterday and today is usually the big die out days, so they seem to be pretty good birds.
the birds we've been getting the last couple of years would be down to 91 or 92 % by now.

gotta do a little mowing around the house today and get the weedeater out and trim around the porch.

Arcey, our Butterball field man took off for Taladage on Wednesday, he said he was ready to go watch some racing. told us he'd be back Tuesday, take care of the birds ;D

Yeah.  I prolly got 'nuff left o'er from Roundup even affer Black Crick last weekend but they won't go bad of I don't need 'em.  Hate to miss out if I get an opportunity fer a reshoot fer lack of ammo.  The more shootin' with smoke, fire, BOOM 'n stink the better.  Ain't got 'nuff  9mm stuff fer Wednesday's trip ta the indoor fer sher.

OT, I wish I wuz with 'im.  Beats playin' 'This Ole House' stuff I'm doin' now.  Got one chore done.  Goin' after the other in a minute.

Howdy, pards. Been getting ready for the match next week. I was cleaning one of my pistols and the front sight dropped out of the dovetail. I tightened it back up and had to run over to Outlaw Jim's to borrow his laser bore sight to set it right. All fixed, got all my ammunition loaded and ready to go. Yesterday I tested the trail Boss loads I made (3.5 gr TB with a 125 gr RNFP moly bullet). They shot a OK group, but not what I would call great. They were on par with the TightGroup loads I've been using, but I will need to work up a more accurate load after the match.

Great pic, LR. That photo in B&W would look like it could have been taken 125 years ago. Thanks for sharing it.

Please watch it with the clippings while you're workin' around the porch.  I don't want any in my julep again.  The only greenery I want is the mint.
