Scarlet Angel

Mornin' everybody.

Ok it's Sunday I slept in a bit, power was out anyhow. So I could use some hot coffee...Thanks Ozark.

Poured wet stuff from the sky all day yesterday. Apparently somebodys rain was lost. Still cloudy and wet here this morning but should be moving on later today.

Buck. I think you might be just as bad as my dad. 2 lighted gun cabinets surely kept folks in line. Dad has a Hawkin's muzel loader on the top (my favorite of the group) and then he's got some high powered stuff in there and was always glad to explain what they were for. Thanks dad! Perhaps he knew what he was doing because I cannot complain much about the one that stuck around.

Thanks for sharing the poem Slim, it's a good one.

Ozark cute little friend you got there. I can see he's working on becoming the resident house cat  :D You think you have it all planed out. I know I have two. I thought I had it all planned out now they run the house.  ::)

Have a great day folks!

Well, I'll have a cup if it's still HOT..........................

To shorten a long wet story, I wasn't too sure if I wanted to shoot this morning.  Just before we got to the range, Montana checked her cell phone messages. *(I did not and had no attention on taking mine)* There was a message for me to call the farm.  Seems the General Manager here had a heart attack and passed on yesterday. They wanted me here so we could meet with the owner first thing in the morning.

Anyhow had a good Wet time there with all the usual and CASCity pards.

Yes he lived on the other side of the farm, with his wife, been here 20 plus years...... He raced quarter horses before coming here.  He was also interested in working cow horses, that's was the tye he and I had.  He was also the one who traveled with me on the trips, and slept most of the trip.
He was at his home at the Lake not far from where we were shooting when he passed away.

Sorry ta hear of the passin', Rooster.

Me 'n Tom are back here. 'Spect Will made it home too. 'Least ways I hope 'e missed the fog up on Afton Mountain we went thru.  Couldn't see sh*t.

Me 'n Will ran speed pistol Friday - nice day.  Personally, I been doin' this awhile.  It rains, I don't shoot.  It rained.  Ran errands for the club.  Trampus, Sue 'n I did the door prize drawin' stuff.  Cammy 'n Tom did ah bunch a scorin' werk on the 'puter.  Whut'er Dig'em needed we could do.  Since we were in the house (with a wood fire, OT) we got ta lunch first 'n often - ate too much then ate too much at the banquet later on.  'Til now, only Tom knew I was stealin' green pepper rings off the salad 'fore the rest of 'em got to it.

Nice dinner with Montana, Rooster, Tom, Will 'n me at the motel Friday.  Y'all should have seen Montana all dressed up for the banquet Saturday.  She was lovely.  Rest of us ugly as heck.

Then there was Tom 'n me in the parkin' lot, in the rain, gettin' my feet outtah Wyle Chyle's 'man-eatin' boots.

Didn't shoot - didn't care - wouldn't trade the weekend for nuttin'.  Hard to believe it's over............

Good ta see y'all agin

Sorry to hear about the GM LR, I'll say a prayer.  First time I have gone to a shoot where I was registered to participate and didn't put the first round downrange.  Didn't matter I had a ball anyway.  Arcey, I wasn't gonne tell no one bout the green peppers (he grabbed a cuke or two also).  I will make it unanimous, Miss Montana looked absolutely gorgeous all decked out for the banquet.  Sleep, Miz Annie looked fine as always too.  Can't wait for next year.
