Heck, Will.  For the longest time they've been yellin' for us to buy more fuel efficient cars 'n trucks.  Here, we've done that to the point to have an effect on how they look at things in Richmond.

What's bein' floated these days is since we're drivin' more fuel efficient vehicles, we're not usin' enough gas.  Therefore, they're not gettin' enough revenue from the gas tax.  Their solution?  Raise the gas tax.

My solution is more efficient fiscal control in the capital.  But I guess the possibility of that is about the same as fillin' the truck up with tap water 'n expectin' it to run...........

it's been a cold day here today too.  it got a little warmer than yesterday, but 40 degrees ain't saying much with a stout north wind.  supposed to be down to 20 tonight.  chance of it being up to 50 tomorrow afternoon.

sure looks like the plants that had come out are taking a beating with all this cold air.

After today  course we'll be getting her a Walther P22.  When she's had the opportunity to shoot other's guns she'll decide what gun she wants.  I'll even let her use one of my .45's but I doubt she'll like it.

I got a new one in an E mail today, least new to me, I got a chuckle out of it.

Hillbilly Vasectomy

After their 11th child, an Alabama couple decided that was enough as
they could not afford a larger bed.

So the husband went to his veterinarian and told him that he and his
wife didn't want to have any more children. The doctor told him that
there was a procedure called a vasectomy that could fix the problem but
that it was expensive.

The Alabamian said to the doctor, "I may not be the quickest tool in

At which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs and
resumed counting on his other hand.
