Cofffee on here, gotta head in and work in the word dept today.  I just bite my tongue when these youg kids whine about how heave a titanium toed work boot is and how the poor little things are on their feet all day and can't wear a heavy boot or it will kill them.  I just nod and act like I I feel sorry for them sittlin' there wearin' a pair of stove pipes with may pants tucked over, on of them weighs about as much as their whole pair.

you know them kids have been used to wearing them tennies and flip flops all their lives,  and now here you are putting em in actual boots.   they barley can drag em along

'Fore I retired we had lots of kids (boys & gurls) wearin' werk boots to school,
onliest thing was they never laced 'em up, jist let 'em flop on their feet, made 'em kinda shuffle as they held their britches up with one hand.

our daughter got a pair of them Doc Martin, combat looking boots with about an inch worth of sole, when she was 13,  heavy as could be, never heard her complain bout em then,   the other day she was complaining bout her white nursing shoes,  I reminded her about the boots
