I am still waiting for mine. I did see one at one of the local gun stores the other day. I would have bought if it was my caliber. It was 45 and mine is on order in the 44Colt.

QuoteI did see one at one of the local gun stores the other day.

Where's this store?

Pappy Hayes

The store is in Grandview, Missouri.

I'll call Cimarron tomorrow for the "dope". Thanks. Pappy.  ;)

Hell-Er High Water

Fox Creek,

I am fairly new to Richards-Mason Conversions.  What is it that you refer to as a Type II RM Conversion.

Cimarron lists the 1851 RM, the 1860 RM and the Richards Transition Model.  Is one of these also known as the Type II RM Conversion?

Thanks.

The only difference is from the cylinder forward. Type II has percussion barrel w/ Richards ejector & RM has RM type barrel w/ Mason type ejector.

Cimarron said the Type 11 would be in ...........30 days............plus 30 days........times 2  divided by 4  plus 30 days to the tenth power.   Oh and they also said something about a blue moon.   FYI.     Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

Pappy Hayes, I called Cimarron today and they haven't received any Type II. Perhaps you confused it with the RM(?).  ???

Howdy Cowgirls & cowboys - no rumor they acutally exist.
Here is another one of this rare species as photographed at the recent EXA gun show in Brescia April 17, 07, in .45 Colt caliber (among other goodies) at the Uberti booth.
The Uberti rep tells me 98 % of the production output goes to the USA (lucky American cowboys). And please, don't crucify me for giving you this update.

Well I am not sure where in the USA they are sending them to if Cimarron doesnt have any.    ???  And Bootsie, I never get tired of you showing the Type 11 off.   Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

Bootsie, did you get close enough to this one (in .45 Colt) to see if it was larger than your Type II?

Long Johns Wolf

Fox Creek Kid: except for the bigger bore outside dimensions of the .45 Colt and .44 Colt model seem to be identical.
Tried to put a .45 barrel/cylinder assemby on my .44 (frame): they are interchangable.

Sorry Fox Creek I have not been on for several days. I am sure it was the type II. Bout had a heart attack over the excitment thinkin mine would be here also at my other dealer. If the cylinders would interchange I would buy the 45 and jus order a new 44Colt RM cylinder but that question was asked earlier when these were first announced and it was said this would not work

Fox Creek Kid

Pappy, Cimarron says there are none in country & they have exclusivity. Why don't you call the gunshop for confirmation (& their source) or post their ph# here for confirmation?

Pappy,

Where is Grandview with the state.  General area.  I am in St. Louis.

This is from another post regarding the Transition Model.   I really doubt anyone in the USA has the TM unless they personally brought it in from Italy.  Remember,  The TM is specifically being made at Cimarrons request so they would know the scoop.

I received a reply today from Cimarron (4/20/07) on the Richards Transition Model: Hi,

We still have not received delivery on the Richards transitions Model.  We are looking at another 60 - 90 days out.

Thanks.

Valerie
Well, there you go,from reading the post on this forum, I have read at least four post where the above statment was quoted by various members here on this forum but here it is again by Cimarron the folks in the know,I  personally think the gun is a myth and this is just Uberti propaganda. Dusty.
