Nice looking guns everyone!  Next week I will put up a picture of my NM Vaquero Bisley in 45 and a month from next week my second one as I can only buy one handgun a month here in California.

Here is a picture of my first Vaquero.  Its partner is at my FFL and I will be able to start the paperwork in April 30th.  One of the joys of living in California.

I no longer own any Rugers.  Great guns, just not my cup of tea.  But a few years ago at Mule Camp I took come pics of a carry Vaquero made by Hogleg Smith, thought you folks would enjoy these.

I did a little horse trading and came away with this stainless steel 5-1/2" Original Bisley Vaquero in .45 Colt:

I was out at the range a couple of days ago and I had my 10-1/2" Ruger SBH with me. It had been awhile since I had shot it, so I figured I would try my hand at the 100 yard steel plates with it.

Well, one of my CAS buddies was there and he took a real liking to it. He had a NIB stainless Ruger NV with a 7-1/2" barrel in .45 Colt, so we ended up swapping!

This one is a perfect match to the one I bought off of him several months back.

My favorite pair.   OM Vaquero's in 45 Colt.  I call them my "Cougars"  (Rugers that think their colts but only better)
Belt Mountain Colt style cylender pin, Power custome Cresent Ejector Rod and housing the keeps the ejector off the barrel,
Power Custome half cock hammer and trigger, 15lb springs.  custome grips.  Tuned and sighted in for 200 RNFP bullets at 850 FPS at 50 feet.

I have shown these off before, but they really are my favorite ones ... previously owned by a Territorial Marshall who honed them and used them so that the action is like silk ... and then put on Stag grips that really show off the bluing of the pistols ...

Hey Wadd......  thems ar the funniest lookin' Vaquero's I've ever seen......  OH.....   Ruger didn't make Top Breaks.......  Musta meant to show off on the Frontier Iron page....  LOL.....  ......  them sure are purdy just the same
