Can I join SASS events with just one weapon: rifle?

Just ordered a Marlin Cowboy in .357 and plan on ordering .357 Cowboy loads from AmmoDirect or some place like that.  So, I'm pretty much set, or so I think.  I have heard that to be fully equipped for Cowboy Action Shooting, a person should have a rifle, 2 pistols, and a shotgun.

Can I join and attend events regularly with just a rifle?  Or do I have to stock up on some more guns?

Thanks.

Maybe your local club has loaners. Our club, Bristol Plains Pistoleros, shoots in Bristol Wisconsin and has loaners available.

Thanks.  Not looking for loaners really; I can afford more guns.  Just think of myself as a non-twirling version of The Rifleman; just a one-gun feller.

RowdyBill,
Most SASS matches require a rifle, 2 pistols, and a shotgun. NCOWS has a Working Cowboy "class" where ya only need one pistol and one rifle.

Thanks.  That's more to my liking, I suppose.  Pretty good rifle and pistol shot, but poor with a shotgun (ironically).  I do better if I unload it and throw it at a target.
