What kind of Army 1860?

The Uberti cylinders are 1.820 to 1.829 lng, measuring 5 cylinders.  The R&D cylinder is 1.829 long.  What I believe to be an ASM cylinder is 1.825/826 long.

The R&D cylinder is the same diameter as the Uberti (larger forward segment) 1.602/1.603, the ASM is 1.611 diameter.  The smaller rearward diameter end is 1.530 diameter on all the cap & ball, but the R&D is 1.555.

So there is hope for me.A friend of mine own a Uberti.(Didn't know that)I told him about the R&D cylinder and i thing i make him a little bit hot.So we will meet on Sunday and have a look at our 1860's.

Major2 , you are right.It's not only $245,i have to pay 12% tax on imported products and on that 19% sales tax.That make $326 plus freight costs.After that i must go to the 'Beschussamt'.Didn't know the english word.All guns in Germany were tested and get a mark.It could get well over $430 for the cylinder.
In Open Top or a Richard-Manson Revolver cost between $395 - $475.

Loking at drawings in McDowell's book, the original 1860 Colt cylinder was 1.828 face to back, not including the rachet, of course.  The overall length including the rachet was 1.962.  The major cylinder diameter was1.622 and the rebated diameter was 1.534.
