What lever rifles are sanctioned for CAS.  I currently own a Winchester Model 94, current production with the pushbutton safety, in .44 Mag.  I am also looking into purchasing a Winchester Model 92, made in 1924, chambered in .32 WCF.  Which can be used?  TIA.

Both can be used for SASS. But, the Win '94 has a very long lever throw as compared to the Win '92, Henry, Win '66, Win '73, and Marlin '94. Those I mentioned are the most common CAS main match rifles. I shoot Marlin '94's in .44 Mag and .45 Colt. I am thinking about converting the .44 mag to .44 WCF aka .44-40.

I had read that Win. 94's that possessed the hammer safety were not sanctioned because they are not built to the "spirit" of the original 94's.  Is this true?

I think it is allowed in both SASS and NCOWS, now. But it cannot have the angle eject for NCOWS.
