I have been going back through the old posts looking for moulds.  I have found the following listings and some of these are a year or more old ...

Lyman 515139 --330grain

Rapine 350 gr made for the Armisport Spencer

Buffalo Arm precast and molds

Dakota Widow Maker 350 grain mold

Lee 515-450 down to ~350 grains

Romano also has a mold for the 56/50

Have been on several websites including Buffalo Arms, Midway and Romano to mention a few.  The only thing that keeps coming up is the Lyman.  Prefer the 350 gr and .512.  Also have not read any glowing reports on the Lyman.

Any ideas about where to find the Buffalo Arms mould (all that comes up there is their cast bullets and the Lyman mould) or the Rapine?  BAC lists the Rapine, but not that mould.  Also, I keep seeing a lot about the Dakota Widow Maker mould ...a cut down Lee?  Source?

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

David

Howdy, Crazeyivan
I've had pretty good luck so far with the Lyman mold.  Generally, I get 2" to 3" @ 100 (off the bench) with it- but I did one group that measured 1.51, and those are 5 shot groups.  My alloy comes out to 24 BHN, and the softer the alloy, the worse the mold works.  So, the weight of the bullet is 325 +/- 2 grs.

There is a thread on the site with a picture of the Lyman bullet, and some additional comments
