aside from the Schofield the kid had in the store(though id want it WITH the triggerguard), id rather have that revolver than any other i saw in the movie.

Or the ivory-gripped Navy Gene Hackman's character used on the Marshall during the flashback.......

I'm not a real fan of the movie....Great cast, dumb plot.

but I did like the guns.

Like Woody Strode's Kenny Howell Custom Conversion of the Roger & Spencer.
It was Woody's last film and he was 80 !

I've often wondered if it would have been more authentic if he had asked that kid to throw him a 38 center or rimfire rather than a 38colt which I believe was devoloped in 1892.

Oh and I love the part where Gene Hackman says to his son "What the hell are you modifying the guns for before you sell them? I'm going to tell Texas Jack on you!"   :D

Which one was Woody?
Woody was Charlie Moonlight,  an Olympic athletic Champion, Decathalon, I think.
A Black American, he was Sgt. Rutledge in that title roll, he also played native americans in several films.
One of his most memorable films was as a gladiator in Kirk Douglas's Spartacus
and Pompey in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Appeared in about dozen John Ford westerns.
