...a fletcher-bidwell repro? this one was manufacturered in wisconsin. a dr. piper was the contact for ordering. i know they had serious manufacturing problems; one of their machinists took the blueprints and tried to construct his own repro. despite many delays i got a very nice repro (did have to have the sights corrected for accuracy from the original spencer design). someone mentioned to me that i may have gotten a taylor or romano manufacture becase the original orders couldn't be filled. i've never been able to confirm or deny this. but i have never seen another f-b spencer nor have i heard mentlion of them. any ideas? thanks in advance, geo.

On the one they sent me, the barrel was held in place with a set screw, because the threads in the receiver were so loose.

Please check it out VERY carefully before you fire it!
