I posted these pictures on a couple other forums and because Chuck Burrows does historically correct work,  St. George thought it might be of interest to the folks here also.

I wanted to develop a new personna for NCOWS as a mountain man turned buffalo hunter who now is a scout in the 1870's.

I probably was in contact with a lot of indian tribes and did a lot of trading with them over the years ,so I wanted my leather to have an indian flare to it.

The tack belt has real brass tacks with antiqued spots as accents.

The pouch is beaded buffalo hide and also antiqued as is the holster.

Chuck is also finishing up a pair of botas and I will post a picture when I get them.
In my opinion Chuck is an artist and has a talent that I envy.

Thanks for posting, and for the thumbnail of your Impression.

Giving thought to what you want to portray makes it far easier to do your research and to acquire what's needed for accuracy.

It's easier on the wallet, as well - since your ability to focus will guide your purchases, whereas an un-focused buying spree just results in a lot of 'stuff'.

Get the 'stuff' later on.

Again, thanks, Will - Chuck does do great work.
