Well, maybe "a little less dumb" would be more accurate. I won an auction for a Cimmaron Richards-Mason conversion of an 1860 Army in .44 Colt with an 8 inch barrel. The vendor is Triangle C Ranch. The reason I say "a little less dumb" is because I realize I've been wasting a lot of time, energy and money flailing around trying to figure out a persona and buying guns I'm now selling at fire sale prices. I've learned this lesson before, too, but it doesn't seem to stick for long. Well, enough whining.
Amazing how things you buy on line aren't quite "real" until you see and touch them. I did both today and it's just beautiful. Not drop-dead, make people drool and be envious beautiful, just plainly so in a practical, no-nonsense way. Here's the pic they used for the auction:

Now I have an
historically correct cartridge conversion to incorporate into a persona. I'm cleaning out my closet and gun locker and clearing the decks for action. I'll be busy for a month or two, so it'll be a while before I'll have time to give it thought. But give it thought I will.
