Tuolumne Lawman

Buffalo Arms was the only place I ever got them from for the original I had.  They used 50-70 brass.  It worked great in my 56-56 1860 model.

When I originally was making ammo for a .56-56 M1860 Carbine, I used both Buffalo Arms and Dixie Gun Works .50-70 brass.  Had to turn the rims down on both, which was a pain, but worked.  More recently, I obtained some Bertram .50-70 brass and found the rims to be a few thousandths smaller, enough so they would fit through the receiver of the carbine.

I believe Huntington Die Specialties carries Bertram brass.  Don't know if he is making brass or ammo for the .56-50 or not.

Hope this helps...
