D.D., Kind Sir,
Please tell us, if you can, what brand it is and where it came from, bulk or canned. At that price it is worth an order.
Best regards and good shooting!

They don't have a web site, but their service is great.  The powder is in one pound cans.  The brand is LIDU.  I got 15 lb FFFg and 10 lb FFg.  The FFFg is slightly higher priced.

Notes on Chinese Black Powder:
The first container brought into the U.S. in 1999 was fireworks lifting charge powder made by Lidu in China. Huge grain size. Pistol velocities in rifles. Burned clean because it was still burning when it was ejected out the muzzle. Look like a willie peter going off in front of the gun. The Chinese do not use wheel mills. They can make only a musket burn rate powder.

Dick, it may be cheap but this doesn't sound like sporting grade powder to me.
PS:  What the heck is a 'willie peter' ???

Howdy John Boy,

I've been burnin' this powder for several years now.  It's a good black powder but not on par with Schutzen or Swiss.  One thing that I've found in my lab tests is that it is extremely uniform from batch to batch.  I think it's a good value for the price, but I doubt that this price will hold up for long.  I suspect that all the bp prices are going to be climbing.

Probably my next case will be Wano.

Good move, Dick.  I've sworn off Goex except for their Cartridge.  Wano processes their powder nearly the same as Swiss, they haven't been jacking up the price each year like Goex and it is sporting grade powder.  Plus, with the Alder Blackthorn charcoal, having that good cresote in it ... ya can ciut back on the grains being used in a recipe for CAS.

Howdy!

John Boy, "Willie Pete" is military jargon for white phosphorous rounds fired from artilley, tanks, or in grenade form to be thrown.  Starts fires, but is best for the HUGE  quantity of smoke it produces, and can screen movemrnt from the eye - 'tho not from thermal ot IR type sights.

Yar, I second that motion to get some in the BP shot shells.

Fellers, keep lookin' in them "Black Ops" mags./catalogs.  I THINK I've mebbe seen 'em listed with the 12 ga. flechette rounds, etc.

However, I may be thinkin' back to my Army days when that was available in VERY limited quantities.  WP is MUCHO dangerous, so the gub'mint may restrict it from anything but Mil. & Police use.

But it'd be fun!
