So how many more we need, RATS??

MG

I don't want 2500 with 9 inch barrels ::) that's way too many holsters to wear ;D

If you take some pointers from me, we can get you into a shape to accommodate that many holsters.  However, you are responsible for being able to handle the weight.  The only weight training in my program is how to pack it on. ;D

Mark me up for one.

Uhhh.  What's this supposed to cost if it happens? ;D

Hey Rawhide Rio:

That would be a real fine NM Vaquero.   8) 8)  Esp if in .44 & .45.   ;D

Don't know. I'll have to work on that . The barrel thing was a straight cut, where the bird's head would be a curved cut. I'll see what I can do.

While we're dreamin', I have an original 92 SRC, Winchester that would just go real nice with a sheriff model Ruger Old or new. Ruger even has the chambering reamers cause they made a run of Vaqueros a while back in 38-40 WCF. How cool would that be??

They did ..it exists  ;D

It's callled the Montado

I'm in shock... it is as I had discussed with the Davidson's Suits at Shot...that's how I knew it would take 5000 to make it profitable for them to consider.
They actually did it !  little pricey though guys  ::)

Yes, but that new pistol is marketed for mounted shooters.  I saw this on the SASS Wire.  The hammer and grooving on the front of the grip make is illegal for normal SASS matches.  Guess you could replace the grip frame and the hammer.

When I started this thread... I was not thinking CAS I was considering CWC.

The SA & DA Revolver is the gun I'm most used to and proficient with.
Not to say the Auto loaders are not...

Quigley's statement  " I said, I never had much use for one, I didn't say I didn't know how to use one...."  ;)

I don't care much for the small sub-nose or small frame feather lite, beside the 45 Colt & Schofield are strong defence rounds IMO.

I was looking at the 3" OmniPotent Chicago special USFA is offereing but at $1300  ::)

Major..

I got mine ordered!!  My dealer said it should only be a few weeks. (I'm not holding my breath.)

I ordered mine for the same reasons as you discussed.  Not for CAS but for fun and CWC.  It's a little gun that makes big holes!!  What's more fun than that!?! ;D

(I'll try to post some pics when I get it.)

For a SA CCW---It would be a winner!  Many cool features for that.
Reckon that Ruger made it only in .45C for the CMSA guys & gals.

But I'd like one in .44 for me.  ::)

MG

PS  There is a good discussion of the Montado on the SASS Wire right now.

I'll buy that!  In fact, I'd buy a pair of them in .44-40!

I did just that ....44 that is
in the mean time while we were dreaming of the NMV Sheriff...
I got a screaming good buy in a lightly carried  4" Taurus in 44 at less than a 1/3 of the Montado cost.
It's not western, but that's OK, it's lighter and will be just fine.
It's got a lifetime warranty...

I still want a Montado, but like the Type II Richards I want  ::)  and the , and the, and the , etc etc.
it's on the list !
