I have heard rumors and hints about a '73. I don't know if there is a speck of truth to them, but it is an intersting subject. ???

NEW PRODUCTS
USFA, manufacturers of high quality reproductions of classic cowboy firearms, will begin production of Winchester Model 73 and Remington 1875 long guns. More details will be available at SHOT 2007 next month in Orlando, Florida.

USFA fans have to work hard to get into the loop!

???
The 1875 Remington was a revolver.

Wouldn't it be better if they did want to reproduce a new rifle to choose something that isn't already availble by other manufactures, like maybe a Colt Burgess instead of jumping on an already crowded bandwagon. Yes I know the quality would not be in question, but if it were something not available then price would not come into questiion. Just my 2 cents.

I spoke with "someone" at USFA today buy I gave my word that I would not reveal what was told to me. They said only to watch the Shot Show.  :) I will however say this, it will & will NOT be what has already been surmised.  :-X ;)

I was told by a source at USFA that they will not carry the USFA name.

I just hope they don't spread themselves so thin that quality and supply start to suffer.

Not too much to complain about in terms of the quality of the Uberti 1873 as is.  Other than paying up more money for a USFA version, what's the gain?  A Colts Burgess would be a better market niche.  IMHO!

Here it is hot off my visit today
I spoke to the USFA Owner

I saw
In prototype & evaluation
CNC mocked up frames only ( not finished machined )

1858 Remington New Model Army
1873 Winchester lever Action & barrel
Colt Ace 22 Auto ( perhaps by years end )

1875 Remington is being considered ( though no CNC machining was on display )
The two Remington's and the 73 are a long way out ( maybe two years ) " certainly not this year " is his QUOTE !
That's from the USFA Owner.

I'll answer any spific question or go back and ask a question if you like....
