I'm hankering for a Patterson, have ever since I saw a mountain man movie as a kid that featured one, that and it's the grandady of revolvers.

Where would be the best place to get one that I would have to do the minum of work to get it working rite?  Is Cimmeron's or Taylors worth the extra cost?

Thanks

Yes
1. because both companies demand high quality (Uberti)
2. Both have a very good reputation on customer service.
3. The Bargain Patterson is most likely a Palmetto Arms Manufacture and assembled to sell at a budget price (Fit & Finish is lacking)

One more reason, you can get a  R&D Conversion Cylinder from both Cimarron or Taylors for your Uberti model ...
and that is very cool ... a conversion Patterson.  ;)

Actualy never thought of any other manufacture but Uberti unless I could get my hands on a second gen colt reasonable!

A conversion for the patterson!  Man that would be awsome!  I've been thinking of doing one ever since I saw photo's of one in a book.  I'll definatly look into that some more.

Have been in touch with V.T.I. concerning parts orders, and in the corse of conversation have found out that Uberti will be phasing out the Patterson due to slow and lacking sales. You might want to hurry up and purchase one before the price goes up, and also stock up on parts.

I owned a Repro. Patterson years ago, and the internal springs tend to break when put through normal use, so keep that in mind. An extra set of screws wouldn't hurt any either.

It's a realy neet and fun gun to shoot,,, I had Boucoups of fun with the one I owned !!

I don't talk to the' CHICKS ', I talk to one of the guys who actually works in Parts.

Most of the time, I've found that CHICKS that only answer the phone don't know squat and can't tell me squat !!!

I'v always had good dealings with VTI, haven't realy used them for much info though.

But where would be the best place to get one?  Cimmeron, Taylors, or Midway USA?

If I were buying one... I'd probably call Cimarron first , with Tammy or Sue at Taylor's right up there....
whichever had to one I wanted in stock .... that would be the order.

I've never used Midway... could not say.
