Those kilts are made of wool and you need to have something on under them to keep from itching.

I didn't get my invite ta the big showdown las' night.  I had ta armchair it with an audience a one.  She was very supportive of ma rebuttals ta the idot box.

I'm speaking here from a position of personal knowledge.  As some of you may know, my dear wife is FROM Scotland; Glasgow, to be precise.

About 20 years ago, when we visited my wife's nephew who was doing a 45-day assignment guarding the castle at Edinburgh with his Army unit, the King's Own Scottish Borderers, I saw an interesting tool used by the Scottish units before a public appearance.  (Like parades, Guard duty at the castle, special formal formations, etc.)  It is a mirror on a long handle that can be used for checking for bombs or other destructive devices underneath an auto ... or under a Scottish soldier's kilt to make sure he is dressed "properly."

No ... I'm NOT kidding.

The Sergeant Major actually spot checks his soldiers for proper dress ... or, UNdress, in this case.

If you haven't noticed I don't care for poly tic icans- Almost as much as I disrespect the judical leaders. I have trouble imagining that our leaders are the best there is available.
