We had 3 dogs at one time.  They all finally got old and passed away.  The Moose wanted a little dog and I wanted another Lab. I found "T" on the web for the Grand Prairie shelter. It was love at first sight for me. I waited 3 weeks, so one Sat. Iwent down and got from the pound.  The Moose really loves her now.

Yeah, ya can use the F-150 but ya can't put her in the cab. She's a member of your family, not mine. The crate is an eyesore on the back porch put it in the back. It's not that heavy.'

After seven years of that I don't think she'll get another. She has a hermit crab in a plastic box these days. Just gottah hold sumthin' captive.

I married inta a Rott mix dog.  Lil had her since she was a puppy.  I know Del says "there are no stupid dogs jus stupid owners".  Well there is an exception ta every rule.
     Sammie is seven years old an hasn't learned a damn thing.  I'm good with dogs as a general rule.  Five years ago I figgured I'd get this dog from hell ta break some bad habbits, jumpin on folks, barkin at nothin, eatin outta the trash and worst of all the non-stop licking.  This dog will not keep it's tongue in it's mouth fer nothin.  Knocks over small children an treats em like an ice cream cone.  Only knows the first half of fetch.  The list goes on an on.  Believe me, I tried but no go.  Thank God I got Angel.

Only ever had female labs, males is mostly hard headed... MOSTLY!

Much as I HATE ta disagree with Del............

When we were hurtin' for dogs we'd take about anything that weren't gunshy. We'd work with 'em with experienced handlers. If one couldn't do anything with a dog we'd kennel the thing for a while then try another handler.

I've tried to work a few that I swear were almost too stupid to breathe. Couldn't so much as teach 'em to heel. No one else could work 'em either. We'd call the folks back 'n tell 'em to come get 'em.

"T" is my constant companion when I'm home. She went with us to the Farmers Market in Dallas. She has her own seat in my old extended cab pickup. She sat in the back while Moose bought the vegetables. I took some water for her and her Frisbee to drink out of. She rides behind me with her head on my left shoulder. A few months ago Del posted a Lab picture from Iraq or Afganastan that had a dog handler and his chocolate lab riding with him. The dog had its' head on the soldier's shoulder.  She is my sweetheart.
