Takes more than pattern to kill,#4's won't penatrate deep enought to kill a pheasant clean every time and more than 70-75 yards, won't do good even on a rabbit.  Been there, done that, don't own the T shirt though.

Load it with #8's like you would use on a dove and I'd let ya shoot me with it at 90 if I had my face protected and a pair of Carharts on.
