I cook the old ones in grandma's chicken fryer in the oven slow till the meat comes off the bones, then make gravy and serve it over biscuits.

Ain't been squirrel huntin' in a while, need to see if I can get those lead bullet loads down pat for that Hornet, t'was my plan make it inta the ultimate squirrel rifle, 55 gr FN at maybe 1600 fps.

Got mostly gray squirrels here. Back home we had fox, gray and cat squirrels, them cat squirrels was smaller and FAST!

We're startin' to see a few of the black ones, but mostly in towns, but they are just a Fox Squirrel with weird colors.  There are a few greys down in extreme SE Newbrassky, but that little area is more like eaaster woodlands anyway, they even have flying squirrels and Timber Rattlers down there in them wooded hills along the river.  Heck they even have Paw Paws and Pesimminons.

we got them paw-paws here, always try to find a few, sometimes it's hard. they just don't produce fruit every year here.
