Was hanging ou in the library at Lincoln Southeast Hith this morning read a book full of newspaper front pages - found out that 15 years before Hindenburg blew up an American derrigeble full Of hydrogen burned killing even more people - why have we never heard of that one?  It was called the Roma.

Leo Tanner

I imagine it was cause it wasn't being covered by a news crew.

That was my guess too but there was a pretty good picture of it on the from page of the paper.

I think it was the audio that got folks attention with the Hindy.

Roma crashed by NAS Norfolk a good while before the Hindenburg incident. The forerunner of the pilot (lower case intended) covered it. The images Stu saw may have been theirs.

I got a chapter or two on her in my library somewheres.

I don't think folks realized how explosive that Hydrogen gas could be. Any small spark could set it off. Helium gas is much safer.

Gonna go check the line out inna minute. Don't expect I'll go in now. Doubt there's gonna be too much of a wait 'round 1030 er so. Be long agin this evenin'.

UPDATE: Parkin' lot didn't look like all too many folks wuz there. Decided ta go in. They musta car pooled. Too late then.

Got down ta the last question on the ballot, the choo-choo, 'n the thing didn't wanna take my NO vote. I weren't gonna move 'til it did. After I asked for a center punch 'n a hammer it took it.
