Buck, It sounds like you need to jack the radiator cap up and drive another truck under it.

They use sand  on our roads in the winter, so we miss out on  the corrosion and salt.

Got two problems going with it right now. Corroded tranny line with a pin hole, just soaking the left front frame area with ATF. And, a rusted through spring shackle on the right rear. Both are problems I can't cope with myself. My son and I changed out the PS pump over the weekend. That's when we discovered the line leak ::) :-\

Worst rust problem on a car I ever seen was back in the early 80's, worked at the local Pontiac Caddy-lac dealer.   Late 70's Pontiac, from Michigan, quit running out on I-80 Auto Club pulled it to the nearest dealer.  Word cam from the mechanic shop it was a must see, had a broken cap an rotor, caused when the rear crossmenber rusted through and droped the engine down pushing the distributer against the fire wall, tail shapf was almost on the ground and the u joint had about came out, Ziebart saved the body, didn't look bad but the chassis was scary.

Them runnin' boards will come in handy for the SS escorts. That Ford looks good, especially with the Diesel engine. It needs to be a King Ranch version to honor LR's ranching heritage.

Yep I've been married 3 times there has been concern over that.


Leo the scooter is more my speed. That first pic was almost Steampunk
