I posted this on TFS and a couple of pards responded, but now with TFS down I can't get to those posts when I'm ready to order! So I'm begging your pardon and asking again.

Where can I get cheap replacement wood for a 97 shotgun? The wood that is on it is too nice to use so I'm looking for a set of stocks that I won't mind getting dinged up!

Prof,

There is a place in MA that advertises in the Chonicle, a replacement set is about $60.00. NORINCO/WINCHESTER M/1897 STOCK SET.

Professor,
I just got and had installed that very stock and forend that Ruff linked to from Ivanhoe Outlet.  It looks really good.  I had a 3rd or 4th generation Norinco with the "painted" stock and it was chipping badly.  This stock set dressed up my 97 so it looks beeeeeeautiful now.  They shipped really fast too.  Extra added bonus.

Yep, Ivanhoe Outlet.  Just put a set on my 1915 original.  It required the slightest amount of fitting to be a really good fit.

Hey Irish Red O'Toole,

What did you do with the old stock? Want to sell it?
