I realize that most CAS targets are of a 16X16 size and are used at various distances for all  CAS 'legal' firearms.
However the majority of my targets are of an 8X11 size and printed from various sources on the internet I was wondering as to what distance(s) should I place the 8X11 targets at the shooting range to approximate the 16X16 targets shot at CAS distances.  Revolver and Rifle  difinately and shotgun if practical for the 8X11  size target
Thanks

Cyrille,   I could be wrong as can be, but when I shoot an 8x11 target, I figure an 8x8 is half the size so I just put it at half the distance as the larger target.

and you can always move it out a little further when you get to hitting it everytime.

everybody needs a little challange.

Cyrille,  I just try keeping everything simple,  on all the targets I've made they are all a little smaller than what is usually shot,

I just like a little challenge ,   I don't hit everything everytime but sometimes I can get a string going.

Yep, you're right Ozark I gotta remember that K.I.S.S. is a good thing to use when trying to find a salution to something thanks again Pard. :)

Make your practice targets a little smaller at the "proper" distance.  Then under competition, it's a snap to hit 'em.

Good advice, Mr. Mike my next homemade targets will be 10X10 and shot at from the proper distances.
Thanks.

Mustang Gregg

Time to start watchin' for scrap steel supply again.
Most metal prices are beginnin' to drop a might.

I bought up several .375" X 12" X 16" (new drops) for about $7.00 each.   ;D ;D ;D
The ain't T-1, but they are 120000# alloy.
They will make real fine practice targets or even match targets.
