Thanks anyway.  We've already planned to go up Thursday, and get our room in Iowa Falls that night, and then leave Sunday afternoon right after the Muster.  I'm taking a vacation day Monday, but the Mrs. cannot take off work Monday. so she gets to sleep all the way home.  I estimate 9-10 hours driving for me (with several stops en route).

I won't be able to make it this year.

I got a chance to do living history at Bent's Old Fort in La Junta, CO which is something I have wanted to do for 25 years.  I will be portraying Maj. Stephen Long, US Engineers who led an exploration party in 1819 & 1820 up the Missouri River to the Council Bluffs [15 miles north of Omaha on the NE side.] and then over land to the Platte River and up the south fork to the mountains.  Then wen down the front range to the Arkansas River and back to Ft. Smith, AR.

There will be others portraying the Pike expedition of 1806 and Lt. Fremont in the 1840's.  It is a one time event associated with the Bicentennial of the Pike Expedition.

Shoot lots and have a great time.  Since I can't make it, RCJ will have to have a drink, or 3 for me!!  I'm sure that he is up to it.

Dr.Bob sorry to hear you can't make it to the Muster.  I was looking forward to meeting you.  Major Matt and Guns I am looking forward to meeting y'all.  I'll be easy to spot just look for the bigger guy in civilian clothing that can't hit anything and stop over and say Howdy.
