Pards, I bought this at a gun show junk table, he didn't know what it was either but the curiosity in me wouldn't let me pass it up (and it was only a dollar).

Stamped "K.W. KLEINENDORST", made of anodized aluminum, has a lever and a hook of steel held together by a roll pin.  2 1/2" long and the inside diameter just fits a 12 ga. SG shell, which will enter a half inch.  The extractor-like hook moves just below the end of the chamber, and the lever pulls it back less than 1/2". The hook doesn't look like a cutting tool but if you whacked it into a shell and pulled the lever back, it might disembowel the shell so that components could be reclaimed.  I just use a knife for that.

I Googled Kleinendorst who seems to be a gunsmith or something but didn't find an address or email.

Just for fun, what do I have here? I have more pictures but can only post two. Thanks!

But...... since ALL he knows 'bout shotguns an' such is how ta break overhead lights.......

It is without a doubt, the missing part for the rare Q34 Illudium Space Modulator!

The Ford stuffs the pure truth.  With all the trouble they're havin', don't ya think they're more'n just a l'il sorry they pissed off loyal customers like me with a crummy product 'n service ta match?  Six new cars since '99.  Would have been Fords but they weren't. Never will be again in my garage.

Can't be a henway without a dysgronificator on it, Sundance.

All great responses, and thanks to J.J. Ferrett a correct one!  I was concentrating on the 12 gauge aspect of this thing, and it took a fine mind to see another area of usefulness!

I sure don't need it and it may have some value, so after Range War I'm gonna put it up on Ebay (yeah, I know) starting at $9.88, and donate half the profit to Cas City for use of its bandwidth.  If anyone here needs it, please pipe up now and you can have it fer that price shipped, and I'll include Cas City in the bargain.  Ought to keep the lights on here for about five minutes.

Thanks again Pards and J.J.,  ;D

Hey.... the only reason that i found the answer is....... i have one in the garage (but no 700 anymore).

as for smarta$$ answers...

Its a NozzleRag holder.
You put the end of the rag in the hole and it keeps it in place. The two little fiddly bits are actually pokey tools for cleaning out ya Nozzle.. then use the rag to wipe it all down.

So... its where ya keep ya Nozzle rag

I knew I'd seen one of then things before, just couldn't 'member what they were for.  If I ever get me one a them guns with the modified screen door latch for an action I'm gonna get me one a the Mousers that do need no fancy contraption to take the bolt apart. ::)
