Model 93 Pump Shotgun

I have been told the model 93 shotgun is not SASS approved.
Can anyone shed any light on this?  Also, if it is approved, any commenys on this piece?

At this time, according to the lastest SASS Handbook, the only pump shotgun that is
acceptable is the Winchester model 1897 and it's clones.
The Winchester model 1893 and Marlin 1898 along with the Spencer pump shotgun are not approved for use in SASS matches.
