Saturday.

Open day Saturday, lots of interesed people, record numbers, a couple of good shots the best of all was a guy who was an old fart like me, but he terrified me waving the pistola around, I'm knackered, been standing around in the sun all day. Just had a few beers, a good feed, washed down with some cheap plonk, feeling no pain, off to bed early. Nothing much planned for tomorrow, bit of work on the 4wd, desert road trip to the outback coming up next week, got to get ready. Bought an RCBS Green Machine in 45ACP for $AU150.00, I will have to drive south in a few weeks to pick it up. I won't need any rocking tonight.

No shooting for me for the next two weekends, taking my sister and a few of her girlfriends on a trip to Mildura/Mungo, etc. Staying at a resort in Mildura and doing day trips around the area. Come home via Mungo/Ivanhoe and a wine shopping spree at Griffith (doesn't grab me much, my wines are either cleanskins or come in a cardboard box with a tap on the front.

A night out at Stephano's is always good.

It should be a nice break.

When I get back I have about 1500 44/40 and 1000 odd 45 Colt cases to reload. Then I am going to make some serious noise.

We just got back from a joust show at the Mildura show. Damn it was hot.

This weekend I am planning to head off to the range and show off my new jacket.

It is a custom made copy of Charlie Princes jacket from 3:10 to Yuma.

Lawdy!!!!!!!!! He was one real bad sucker wasn't he? I liked the jacket the moment I spotted it in the movie. Looking good dude!

Up to the range Test more loads (You can never do enough testing of loads) try a 73 out I bought in 44-40.

Sunday.

Down to Kenthurst and shoot with Kenthurst Cowboys

I'm off for North Carolina tomorrow to shoot the SASS NC State Championships with
Camille and Stump Water.

Back home after my holiday in Mildura, loads of Italian preserves, wine and dried fruit, etc. Onto the loading bench first thing tomorrow, loading up for the Cowra Cowboys monthly shoot on Sunday. Saturday will be a day in the yard getting my veggie garden going again after a 6 year lay off, followed by a ride on my motorcycle in the afternoon. daylight saving now, lots of day!

Danged if I can get my 1873 to work properly, so there's not much point going to Cowra on Sunday.

I'll be off to the pistol club on Sat for a centrefire or standard pistol match and a bit of load development and might go for a ride with the Ulysses Club on Sunday. They have a ride which normally clashes with the Cowboys' shoot, I usually head for Cowra, but it looks like I finally will be free.

The rest of the weekend will be spent preparing my camper for a short break at Nelson Bay next week. Toughjob, but someone's gotta do it.

That'll teach me to be a smarty bum, I ended up sick on Sunday, in hospital Monday and have been here ever since. The sore toe I had ay Chisholm and before that turned into an infection in the bone. It looks like i will be tangled up daily for a few weeks on a drip (a drip on a drip). Hopefully I will make Cooyal for their party Sat night.

I was realllllllllllllllllllll crook at first , feel fine now, but the infrction will take a long time to kill seeing it is in the bone, so I'll be wearng a belt mounted antibiotic pump for  3-4 weeks. Beats getting bits chopped off, they cal me 4 fingers now, I don;t want to be called 4 toes, thats for sure

Looks like I'm the last man standing around here. Still grounded and stuck in my home town as I have to attend the hospital daily for a week or more yet. Off to the bullseye range Saturday, shoot a match then play with my cowboy guns after that. Potter around and clean up and do a bit of gardening if it's fine and I have any energy left.

Have been a bit busy with this Discipline Chairmans- State Governor job, and will hang up my spurs for a few weeks over Christmas

Still stuck in Bathurst, going to the hospital every day. I won't have to do that after next Thursday which is good.

Christmas Party at the Bullseye range today, it will be a sober affair for me, I'm not allowed to drink at the moment due to the antibiotoics, but it still should be good.

Turn my new lawnmower loose on the jungle growing around my house on Sunday.

Down to St Mary SSAA State Office for our annual Discipline Chairman's meeting. After the meeting will travel out to Cowra and shoot at The Cowra Cowboys Christmas shoot on Sunday and travel home maybe Tuesday.

Feeling a lot better, off the drip and onto pills.

Lashed out and upgraded two motorcycles in the last week, one near new, one brandnew (never had a new one before).

Now I gotta clean out the garage so the newbie can go inside, that was a condition teh insurance company insisted on. Bugger.

All day shoot at the shotgun club tomorrow. I will try and get there and blow a few cobwebs away.
